Are you a photographer that loves ecommerce? Do you dream of beautiful photo props and the perfect Instagram photo? Does having your work seen by hundreds of thousands of people make you giddy? Can you switch gears from your creative flair and put on your editing hat and master photoshop quickly and efficiently? If so, Steals.com needs you to apply for this position in our Photography department! This position is 32-40 hours per week Monday – Friday at our headquarters and photography studio at Steals.com.
Responsibilities:
This position selects the ideal photographs to display the product we are selling in the best light possible and if images don’t exist, photographs their awesomeness! Follows the Steals.com brand guidelines and photographs the product and lifestyles.
Coordinate all aspects of photo shoots including:
Editing raw images in Photoshop
Color correct & verify images against product
Review & approve the quality of vendor submitted imagery
Preparing product such as ironing, steaming, and preparing displays
Set up and tear down of displays and backdrops
Scheduling models (babies, children and women)
Get kids to laugh during shoots (Yes… this is a skill!)
Deliver creative visual solutions for all types of product
Upload imagery, logos, video to brand pages

Professional knowledge of the science of photography and the use of DSLR cameras.
Professional knowledge in continuous and strobe lighting environments and equipment.
Professional knowledge of Photoshop and other photo management software.
Know how to think outside the box & knowledge of composition.
Ensemble, visual merchandising, prop styling, wardrobe, photo shoots.
Strong organization skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations with tight deadlines.
Reliable, diligent, and consistently meet deadlines. Ability to adapt to change.
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with staff members in all areas of the company, vendors, and customers.
Must have strong troubleshooting abilities.
Computer proficient in Microsoft Office product line, Email, Internet Applications.
Ability to work with limited supervision, works independently & in a team environment.
Highly self-motivated with integrity and high energy.
Eye for style, creative and up to date with current trends.
Great with people, especially kids & babies.
Must be able to sit at a computer for at least 2 hours at a time as well as stand on your feet for 2 hours of a time. This position requires a lot of up & down movements.
